Our Bear arrives for the Dartford Bear Hunt

Our Bear Has Arrived! 

We are delighted to share that our bear has officially arrived in preparation for taking part in the Dartford Bear Hunt!

The Dartford Bear Hunt is a wonderful community art trail where beautifully decorated bears will appear across the local area for families to find and enjoy, all while raising funds for the local charity hospice, ellenor.

It was fantastic to welcome our Local Academy Committee to celebrate the arrival of our bear with us.

We would like to say a huge thank you for all of your generous donations towards our bear fund. So far, we have raised approximately £600 – an amazing achievement! We cannot wait to begin decorating our bear.

In addition, we have raised around £150 towards new playground equipment, and our School Council is already exploring how best to spend this.

Following our World Book Day celebrations and the arrival of our bear, we were thrilled to see that Michael Rosen, author of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, saw our Trust’s social media post about it and even commented!

We are incredibly excited that our bear-themed celebration was noticed by the author himself. We are so proud to be part of the Dartford Bear Hunt, supporting ellenor, and cannot wait to see our decorated bear as part of the community trail.
