Celebrating Culture, Connection and Community
27 Jun 2025During International Week at Knockhall Primary School, held from 23rd to 27th June, children and staff came together to celebrate the incredible diversity of cultures within our school community. The week was filled with colour, creativity, and a shared sense of pride, as children dressed in clothing representing their own cultural backgrounds. From vibrant traditional garments to meaningful accessories, each outfit told a unique story, reflecting both identity and heritage. One of the highlights of the week was the international menu provided by our school’s caterers, The Pantry, giving pupils the opportunity to taste foods from around the world.

Honouring the Past: Year 4 and 5 Pupils Attend VE Day Ceremony
08 May 2025Some of our Year 4 and 5 pupils had the honour of visiting the Greenhithe Royal British Legion to take part in the VE Day commemorations. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented Knockhall Primary School. The children showed great respect throughout the event, and their polite and thoughtful behaviour was praised by all those who attended the ceremony. It was a moving occasion and a meaningful opportunity for our pupils to reflect on the importance of remembrance and community.

Celebration of our New Regeneration Project - ‘GROWING TOGETHER’
15 Jul 2024Our community recently celebrated the opening of our newly developed regeneration project Growing Together areas; a project inspired by our own pupils. The initiative, led by the children's creative ideas, has seen the transformation of an old garden and an overgrown pond at our school into vibrant, educational spaces. The project began with the pupils who submitted imaginative design ideas for improving the garden and pond area. Inspired by their artwork, the Woodland Academy Trust Trustee Sue Butterfill, Headteacher Miss Yiannadji, the school’s Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) led by Lauren Longfield and the Local Academy Committee led by Carol Gale, collaborated together to bring this project to fruition.

Dartford MP comes to visit our school.
26 Apr 2024We were thrilled to host a special visit from Member of Parliament for Dartford, Gareth Johnson today. Gareth had the chance to explore the school alongside our Headteacher Kathryn Yiannadji, getting a first hand look at exciting projects happening at the school and discussing future endeavours. Sharing news of his visit on his website news page , Gareth Johnson said: As Dartford MP, I regularly visit all the schools in the area and this month it was great to go along to Knockhall Primary School in Greenhithe. Knockhall is an excellent community school which takes pride in providing children in Greenhithe with a good education.
